Minimum qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in tech product marketing roles, in the enterprise context.

Experience working with cloud technology in the following categories smart analytics, database solutions and business application platforms, as well as leading product marketing teams across product and solution areas.

Preferred qualifications

MBA degree.

Experience working with global teams.

Experience operating in a hyper-growth/entrepreneurial environment and scaling new and emerging products.

Outstanding narrative and storytelling abilities that propel adoption and market momentum. Track record of bringing innovative, industry-leading, category-defining tech products to market.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with groups across marketing as well as leaders in Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and partner teams.

About the job

As the Director of Product Marketing for Databases, Data Analytics and Business Application Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Company Cloud. You will be responsible for the product marketing of three core areas databases, data analytics and our business application platform. You will report into the VP of Product Marketing for Company Cloud and work closely with product management, industry solutions, sales and partner teams, and be responsible for developing positioning, messaging, and content across all channels (eg, web, events, campaigns). You will manage a team of product marketers and collectively create great stories that highlight the business value of Company Cloud solutions. You will work cross-functionally to implement go to market strategies, interfacing with leaders across industries and across regions. You will be passionate about taking the complex and making it simple.

Responsibilities

Drive the overall product marketing vision and execution by partnering closely with the Product Manager, engineering, and sales teams to create a comprehensive strategy and global marketing plan for data analytics, databases and business application platform.

Develop messaging and marketing initiatives that align with the different types of buyers of our cloud products and solutions (eg, CIOs, business buyers, developers).

Build thought leadership, content and tools for marketing campaigns and web. Develop the story for key industry moments Cloud Next, Cloud Summits, major partner summits, etc.

Drive alignment across sales, product, developer relations and marketing functions to realize the shared goals of the marketing plan.

Guide creation of materials for market education, sales acceleration, partner enablement and thought leadership.
