Head of Product Marketing Management

The Product Marketing team at eBay is responsible for bringing product features to market. This team owns GTM (go-to-market) across buyer and seller product areas; Product launches, including activation and Launch Readiness, Buyer and Seller Outreach and Communications.
About the role:
In this role as Head of Product Marketing, you will lead a team of 4 to 5 Product Marketing Managers each of whom will own the GTM and launch readiness of a product area and will be responsible for driving successful adoption of it.
A Product Marketing manager on your team will work with Product Managers to understand the product roadmap, work with cross functional teams to drive product and feature marketing plans that they create. Ultimately the success of this role will be measured by product adoption leading to improved business performance. Your role will be to enable this team to be effective in the work they do. In the Head of Product Marketing role you will be expected to:
Deeply understand the product roadmap across several product areas and help your team prioritize
Have a deep understanding of the customer problems being solved and have a keen sense on how to influence customers to adopt the features that help them solve their problem
Demonstrated ability to resolve competing priorities of cross functional teams and resolve problems to help your team succeed
Work with senior leaders across several functions including Product Managers, Marketing teams in eBay's core markets as well as our Global marketing to help influence and gain their support to drive Product Marketing plans
Get sign-offs from cross-functional teams on Product Marketing plans and ensure they are executed successfully
Be willing to roll-up your sleeves and take on IC responsibilities should the need arise
Ultimately accountable for the success of the team
8+ years of strong product marketing management experience or product management experience
People Management experience needed with proven ability to inspire and lead a team
eBay knowledge: Deep understanding of the wide range of products and tools available to our buyers and sellers and the impact it has
A passion for creating great customer experience
Ability to drive to decisions in the midst of complex and often competing signals and analysis
Ability to lead by influence and gain respect of all organizations, but particularly the Global Product team.
Attention to detail for flawless execution of plans
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Should be based (or willing to move) to San Jose, CA area
