Director of Marketing

I have an immediate need for a Marketing Director for one of the nations leading insurance companies. This is a full-time, direct-hire role in Downtown Chicago! Our next Marketing Director is a client-facing professional that is excited about improving traditional marketing strategy to deliver various desired business outcomes and increase awareness.
Support the business with targeted marketing initiatives that focus on agent recruitment, retention and productivity, and policyholder satisfaction and retention.
Lead and manage the marketing team with a focus on improved traditional marketing and management competencies to deliver desired business outcomes.
Lead development and execution on a strategic marketing plan in support of business strategy and objectives.
Analyze market trends, including a focus on customers and competitors; develop and implement strategies and tactics to optimize marketing and positioning.
Provide counsel and direction to sales, product, and pricing teams on the full range of marketing and communications opportunities and issues.
Manage marketing and communication initiatives related to the effective and timely rollout of new and enhanced products.
Develop and manage agent communication plan to ensure deliverables are based on agent needs and consistent with brand strategy.
Partner with the internal communication team to develop and manage internal messaging to ensure deliverables and key business themes are driven consistently across the organization.
Lead the development of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
Partner with digital marketing team to oversee brand presence on digital assets including web social media sites, and recruiting portals; track impact of leveraging digital/social media activity to achieve reputation goals.
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field
10+ years of experience in marketing for the insurance industry
B2B and B2C experience
Experience leading a remote team
Mix of demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, campaign development and execution, consumer insights, independent agency distribution channels, and brand management.
Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills.
Possess a keen sense of analytics and measurement for all activities to ensure results meet business objectives.
Ability to provide timely, clear and concise information adapted to different levels and audiences within the organization.
