Service Transition Manager - Lancashire - ITIL - £50k

Are you interested in bringing your existing skills to play in a key role with a fast growing organisation in Lancashire to support a vital digital transformation?

Working closely with IT you will manage the transition of services and products from a project into IT via a service model approach using a standard toolset and process developed. You will act as the gatekeeper for services entering operational support to ensure service transition processes have been followed and operational teams have the capacity and capability to support

As a Service Transition Manager, you will also:

  • Take the lead in ensuring that all aspects of service transition projects are driven through to delivery
  • Design, implement and maintain robust transition plan(s) taking into consideration any business activities required to integrate new services into the 'business as usual' environment
  • Engage with all suppliers as required to complete production and approval of all service transition documentation
  • Determine the readiness levels of the department and exiting/incoming suppliers and business users with regard to upcoming change
  • Assess risks inherent in proposed transitions, to ensure any potential scheduling and performance issues have minimum impact on provision of other services
  • Ensure all relevant department functions are fully engaged in the process and committed to supply resources to complete the transition plan
  • Act as first point of escalation for any issues or problems raised by the suppliers or business; arbitrate in situations of conflict; seek out and tackle issues that will prevent the delivery of business benefits linked to service transition

You'll have:

  • Experience in handling complex transition projects
  • ITIL Foundation & Very strong ITIL Service Transition & Operations process knowledge and experience
  • Superb change management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and ensure compliance of business services impacted by change
  • The ability to drive analysis and identify, prioritise and implement improvements and efficiencies
  • An in-depth understanding of service transition methodology, tools and templates
  • Excellent stakeholder management and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of Managing transition in a complex IT environment
  • Experience in transitioning large scale projects covering multiple internal teams and vendors, from development into support
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced and regulated environment
