Here at Leidos we are searching for a Mechanical Engineer that will need to be a self-starter that can receive direction and actions from a matrix of customers and sister program managers. This position will also require the ability to review requirements and delegate changes and direction to staff working in the labs. This position will require the ability to manage CAD repository including assisting in the upgrade of the software and migration of the servers. Makes engineering trade-offs, analyzes requirements and investigates technical solutions. Designs packaging for electronic systems. Assists with configuration management of production documentation.
- Creates or modifies mechanical engineering plans, drawings and schematics
- The ability to focus on multiple technical areas and prioritize your deliverable's.
- Manages processes as assigned and report scheduling under or over runs in a timely manner.
- The ability to resolve technical challenges through trouble shooting to provide solutions that affect mutable parts of the program.
- Experience with active listening even if the customer is communicating big picture concepts implying details without giving them.
- Supervisory or management experience where clear direction was required to assign an action, then follow up to confirm it continues to be on schedule or it was completed.
