IT Operations Manager - EUS
Ipswich, Northampton or Selby

Drax Group is playing a vital role in helping change the way energy is generated, supplied and used. Generating 11% of the UK's renewable energy supply, we're committed to enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future.

As IT Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the business of the End User Services (EUS) tower. That means looking after the people, the budgets, and the activities that focus on maintaining, optimising and developing the end user services across the Drax group including devices, collaboration tools and telephony solutions.

You'll manage a virtual team of up to 15 technical people, including workload distribution, resource cover, coaching and mentoring, learning & development requirements and cost management.

This role will involve taking responsibility for technology life cycles, defining and documenting policy, processes and procedures and ensuring a good governance framework is in place and adopted. You'll be a point of escalation, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently and learnings are captured and acted upon.

You'll have ultimate ownership and accountability for the EUS tower roadmap, ensuring that the roadmap is aligned to business strategies and that the team is invested in supporting that roadmap.

We're looking for an experienced manager with refined leadership and stakeholder skills, a passion for continual improvement and comfortable working in high pressure situations with multiple priorities.

You'll have good understanding of EUS technologies and a working knowledge of ITSM. You'll be practiced in identifying opportunities and risks and be a natural problem solver.

Drax Group offers a range of great benefits including minimum 25 days' annual leave, up to 10% pension contribution, private medical insurance, life assurance and income protection, as well as a range of voluntary benefits including dental insurance, cycle to work schemes and dining cards.
