Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone whop can come on board and listen to service customers and provide timely information and advice, offering solutions as required.
The successful applicant will research and maintain specialised knowledge in various financial disciplines to provide expert advice to and on behalf of the client and ensure that all budgeting and year end accounting procedures are complied with including the operation of financial policies and controls, Financial Regulations and Standing Orders. You will also prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make the correct operational decisions and support service departments and budget holders by providing a comprehensive financial support service which will include budget profiling and forecasting with links to performance management information. Prepare reports as required as well as ensuring the clients income and expenditure is correctly accounted for in line with legislative requirements and their policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Finance Officer with experience of Power BI and SAP or Similar GL System You will also have strong excel skills which includes, Pivot Tables; If Statements; V-Lookup, as a minimum
