IT Support Engineer

Our client is a niche IT support company focused on delivering a very high level of customer service to small & medium size businesses in the South East.
Due to continued expansion we are actively seeking an IT Support Engineer to primarily assist with a Microsoft 365 migration and merge project.
In addition to the above you would be involved in delivering IT support to their customers via the telephone, remote or onsite. Full support would be provided from the existing team.
Reporting to the Technical Director your primary duties will include:
Configuring Microsoft 365
Create user accounts
Create email groups
Create a SharePoint structure and assign users permissions
Setup and run migration batch jobs
Configure user laptops and PCs in preparation for migration
Support user queries and problems during the project
Communicate with the client to keep them up to date with project progress
Update the project plan and attend regular online meetings with the team
In addition to the above you will be involved in the following tasks:
Answer customer queries by email or telephone
Provide 1st line telephone and remote support to customers
Carry out site visits to customers when required
Diagnose and fix hardware and software in the workshop/office
Assist with the production of quotes
Study and complete exams in order to meet the competencies required to continue our Partner status
Your skills and experience will encompass the following:
Previous experience with Office/Microsoft 365 is essential
Good communication and customer service skills
The ability to work under pressure and maintain focus
An even temperament and cool head are vital when jobs are becoming difficult
Good organisational and project management skills
Attention to detail and thoroughness is essential in order to ensure jobs are completed to the standards expected
