Windows 10 Desktop Support Engineer - Guildford
My client is world's leading Talent Management organisation - due to large scale growth they are currently multiple Desktop Engineers to be based in their Guildford office.

The Desktop Engineer role is critical to ensuring that all my clients staff are able to work reliably and efficiently, enabling them to meet their own and client deadlines. This involves ensuring that staff have all the equipment, software, access and training they require, and that issues are resolved quickly and effectively. The role includes procurement, configuration and maintenance of all end-user devices.

This role provides the opportunity to support and collaborate with people across all business units, and across all levels of seniority, and serves as a solid foundation for developing the skills required to progress within the Infrastructure team.

Role Requirements

*An in depth understanding of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows 10.
*Good experience with Office 2016 and the Office 365 applications and environment.
*Solid knowledge of basic network operation including Wireless Networking, Ethernet, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
*Understanding of print functions and troubleshooting.
*Experience in assisting remote users across multiple timezones.
*Knowledge of VOIP phone systems.
*Excellent diagnostic ability.
*Good communication skills.
*Previous experience in a support/helpdesk environment.

Core hours for this role are 09:00 to 17:30 from Monday to Friday, with one hour per day given for a lunch
