Transition Manager

Primary responsibilities:

Understanding the as-is IT environment, current processes, staffing and issues

Preparing a detailed plan for transition of services from incumbent vendor to NTT DATA

Ensuring teams are adequately staffed and all pre-requisites are managed for effective transition

Coordinating and monitor transition activities for effective take over of the support activities by NTT DATA personnel

Coordinating reverse knowledge transfer, shadow support and primary support activities

Managing client and vendor relationship in regards to the day to day operations of the transition

Responsible for managing the integrated technical and management approach and processes that facilitate communication and information sharing.

Responsible for the application of CMMI Level 3 process and best practices for improved efficiency and productivity across tasks and activities.

Works closely with the program manager and government management personnel

Responsible for driving innovation background
Work location is Denver, CO with some travel to DC (Alaska possibly)

Identifying risks and taking preventive and corrective actions as required

Listening and understanding to client problems and concerns and taking steps to alleviate them

Establishing and managing professional relationship with the clients, contracting office and other stakeholders

Required Skills:

At least 8 years direct experience in delivering SLA based projects including development and maintenance in technology stack to include .net, PeopleSoft, Oracle, BI & Analytics

Experience transitioning large applications and infrastructure portfolio
Bachelors Degree

PMP, ITIL and/or other related technical certifications

Strong written and oral communication skills and an open communication style
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure deliver quality results within standards and meet deadlines
Ability to effectively articulate and present complex solutions and ideas to senior IT management, functional and business teams

Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience in environmental safety (nice to have)
Experience in the oil and gas industry (nice to have)
