Job Scope: The Diversity & Inclusion Manager serves as a subject matter expert for the Office of Global Diversity & Inclusion on related issues and best practices that will be used to develop and execute Corning's diversity and inclusion programs globally.
Leverage knowledge of best practices and work with the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer to assess and develop company efforts on diversity and cross- cultural inclusion programs. Includes removing barriers that can impact employee development, advancement, and retention of diverse talent.
Work with the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer to draft and implement recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds
Develop and/or acquire training and development to aid diversity and retention initiatives, including cross-cultural awareness
Regularly evaluate and measure the effectiveness of global diversity and inclusion initiatives (including using survey instruments as appropriate)
Develop coaching strategies, implements dialogues that address specific concerns and issues, and oversees resolution of conflicts/disputes relating to diversity and/or cross- cultural initiatives and activities.
Provide strategic guidance, direction and oversight to Employee Resource Groups, executive sponsors, and diversity & inclusion councils ensuring they are working effectively and contributing to supporting overall efforts of the Global Diversity Office
Maintain knowledge of global diversity related issues, legislation and best practices
Partner with external consultants and experts, HR business partners and Centers of Excellence (COE) leaders to evaluate needs and develop appropriate programs
Partner with other key stakeholders (eg, D&I Coordinator, HR managers and leadership) as needed
Positively influence the corporate reputation and brand through external communication opportunities
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Strong understanding of the drivers of corporate reputation, knowledge of global I&D issues
Thorough understanding of global human resources and diversity principles, practices, and procedures.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in developing solutions and implementing strategies with focus on diversity and cross-cultural resource efforts in an organization with diverse constituencies.
Experience leading a corporate D&I program or initiative
Master's degree in Human Resources
Experience as an HR manager or HR generalist
