Director of Maintenance

Has overall responsibility for the management and coordination of maintenance of the U.S. Institute Force Program at Kirtland AFB, NM. The scope of work includes maintenance, repInstitute, and functional check of all unit assigned UH-1N, UH-1N replacement and HH-60G and HH-60W helicopters, associated engines, and Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) to meet the flight crew training mission requirements of the 58 SOW at Kirtland Institute Force Base (AFB), NM. Responsible for the entire scope of organizational level InstituteCompanyft maintenance as outlined in AFI 21-101 in support of Rotary Wing InstituteCompanyft, engines, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), and support equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the InstituteCompanyft maintenance program
Provide maintenance forecasting and scheduled maintenance material requirements
Prepare and manage InstituteCompanyft status information and reports
Submit Government Directed Over and Above Overtime requests and summations IAW PWS requirements
Interface with Government inspectors as required
All other duties as assigned
Leads all maintenance personnel to support the direct performance of the contract

Manages program resources effectively and efficiently
Manages the training, mentorship, and supports employees to ensure they have the skills to perform the maintenance mission; the resources necessary to achieve the contract goals
Works with the leadership of other corporate divisions, business units and other programs to support customers and programs whenever and wherever needed
Assists leadership with development and presentation of corporate proposals for new and current program business
Carries out supervisory responsibilities per Company policies and applicable laws
Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems within their assigned areas of responsibilities

Understanding of the U.S. military services organization, training, missions, and operations
Specialized knowledge of and experience in the U.S. Institute Force branch which the program supports
Knowledge of U.S. Institute Force maintenance, procurement policies and procedures
Ability to pass random drug screenings
Able to read, write, speak and understand English
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
BA or BS degree from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 10 years of military InstituteCompanyft maintenance leadership/managerial experience equivalent to a USAF InstituteCompanyft Maintenance Unit Superintendent (AMU), including direct experience with UN-1N, V-22, and/or HH-60 InstituteCompanyft
