Senior Director, Talent Acquisition

The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for establishing the strategic direction of recruiting and selection success throughout the organization. Partners with company leaders to develop, implement and manage the organization's overall staffing, recruiting and outreach strategies, as well as to enhance the corporation's employment brand and ability to attract employees. Leads the recruiters and partners with our employment brand agency to ensure outreach efforts are in place to attract applicants. Oversees all activities of the Applicant Tracking System and the applicant screening and selection processes for all CoreCivic work locations. Monitors recruitment metrics and formally reports findings to business leaders. Plays a critical role in the hiring of the best possible talent.
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
Manages facility recruiters in the performance of their duties. Determines work assignments, capacity issues, and resource allocation. Responsible for training new employees, mentoring, motivating and challenging staff, evaluating performance, and preparing written performance appraisals, listening to concerns, effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules, and approving leave requests.
Develops short and long range strategic plans for effective recruitment, development and utilization of human resources for existing and start-up, expansion and transitioning operations.
Provides overall strategic direction for development and implementation of health services recruitment strategy by ensuring that plans, programs and services strongly align with our healthcare business partners priorities.
Oversees the hiring process at the Facility Support Center to ensure top talent is identified and selected.
Develops and analyzes company-wide recruiting processes on an on-going basis to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and established policies.
Oversees the CoreCivic employment messaging and partners with Communications liaison in ensuring consistency with external relations messaging and branding.
Networks with industry professionals, member associations and other internal staff to consistently monitor recruiting trends and best practices for continual improvements.
Researches and communicates new and successful recruiting techniques and other issues of interest to recruitment team and Operations leadership.
Plans and accomplishes company-wide recruitment goals and metrics. Develops and drives recruitment best practice combined with identifying and introducing unique and highly creative direct attraction strategies.
Leads recruiting and outreach efforts for exempt and non-exempt employees in addition to programs designed to attract technical, medical, and transitioning military employees. Leads ongoing review and selection of third-party agency sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill facility positions. Coordinates contract reviews with the legal department and procurement partners.
Develops recruitment reporting, metrics, and scorecards to calibrate success and progress of the Talent Acquisition function to identify issues and trends. Develops and implements solutions to improve areas of concern.
Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
A Masters degree in a related field is preferred and can be substituted for the required experience for up to one year.
Seven years of progressive recruiting experience is required, including two years of supervisory experience.
Three years of experience with an Applicant Tracking System.
Experience in high volume recruiting across multiple job classifications.
Must demonstrate an ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a broad cross-section of the company's leaders.
Strong project management and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
A valid driver's license is required.
Working knowledge of an HRIS system is preferred.
