Responsibilities:
Lead architecture and cloud development organization for a next generation claims consolidation and migration to the cloud initiative.
Develop budgets and priorities, ensuring plans and resource allocations are consistent with those budgets and priorities.
Coordinate plans and activities of the organization with senior leaders inside and outside IT, as well as strategic suppliers.
Anticipate and analyze the needs of customers and recommend and develop priorities for feasibility studies, systems design, and implementation to modify or develop new information processing systems, policies and procedures.
Apply process and business expertise to impact business results.
Oversee department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals.
Drive definition and adoption of architecture framework aligned with strategic objectives, including foundational elements such as data and analytics, application and data integration, application development.
Be current with industry, technology and market trends and innovation, factoring those into the ongoing evolution and continuous improvement of the cloud strategy.
Translate strategies into executable roadmaps comprehensive of system/technology, application, process and security/compliance dimensions.
Build, maintain, inspire and motivate a high-performance team with high engagement levels and strong architecture and technology skills, while functionally leading the broader architecture community.
Coach and develop direct reports, as well as mentoring staff members to build a strong and diverse pipeline of technical talents in the EA team.
Qualifications:
10+ years of career progressing experience leading high performance software development teams with a track record of success delivering innovative cloud solutions that are customer facing
Experience developing budgets and priorities, ensuring plans and resource allocations are consistent with those budgets and priorities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field- Master's Degree is preferred
Experience leading large teams including architecture, software development, and cloud
Proven experience successfully initiatives regarding cloud solutions, DevOps (continuous integration/development initiatives), Agile development methodologies, and delivering solutions on-time and within budget.
