The Chief Executive (CE) provides overall physician and administrative leadership to Providence Medical Group (PMG). The CE is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of medical care delivered by its physicians and support staff, achieving cost effectiveness/utilization of services provided, and oversees physician practice issues. The CE oversees clinic operations and programs to ensure operational controls and efficiencies, financial strength, and successful performance improvements standards.
Providence Medical Group - Alaska is a multi-specialty group with 70 physicians and advanced-practice clinicians serving greater Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. With this strong network of primary and specialty care, Providence Medical Group - Alaska is focused on serving its community and being the best place in the state to practice medicine and receive care.
The Chief Executive, Alaska will be accountable for:
Managing the appropriateness and quality of medical care.
Developing Physician leadership within the PMG.
Developing and implementing clinical practice guidelines.
Developing effective and efficient referral networks within the ongoing delivery systems of PMG operations.
Counselling and training physicians in practice patterns, while maintaining positive working relationships.
Supporting and developing staff in managed care activities.
Balancing multiple priorities and projects.
Maintaining relationships with multiple competing entities within the PH&S.
Formulating plans of action within the environment changes, in an effective and timely manner.
Completing Competency Plan for assigned job and department.
