Primary Duties The Marketing and Recruitment Director is responsible for marketing, advertising, lead generation, recruiting, lead nurturing, creative design, content development, branding, and technology platforms to grow enrollments and attract a diverse audience of students and stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Strategic marketing, in-bound/outbound marketing to support various goals and reach a diverse audience.
Digital, print, broadcast, and other relevant forms of contemporary marketing.
Recruiting in a non-traditional or traditional education environment.
Higher Education and the roll of extension units in serving the university mission.
Email marketing strategies.
Agency-based approach to marketing with internal clients as customers.
Demonstrated skills in:
Leadership in an academic environment/soft leadership skills.
Collaboration with various stakeholders with various needs.
Demonstrated ability to:
Rapidly acquire a general knowledge of a program or course.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with program specialists, instructors, and other constituents.
Interpret and apply branding rules and regulations.
Collect, compile, analyze and evaluate data and make verbal or written presentations based on data.
Reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
Present clear and concise information orally and in written reports.
Participate in and contribute to group meetings, conferences and interviews.
Use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and in implementing long-range improvements.
Required Education and/or Experience
A bachelor's degree is required.
5-7 years of experience in marketing, web content management, and digital communications.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
Degrees in marketing and communication.
Applicable work experience in higher education.
Experience managing multiple and complex digital marketing campaigns in an entrepreneurial environment.
Demonstrated success supervising others.
Experience using Salesforce.
Demonstrated knowledge of CSU, Chico's policies and procedures for Academic Affairs.

The person holding this position is considered a Limited Mandated Reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 (revised July 21, 2017) as a condition of employment.
This position is a Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA) designated managerial position and comes under the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) of the California State University. Individuals appointed to management positions serve at the pleasure of the President or designee. They are excluded from the collective bargaining process, are not subject to probationary service, and do not receive tenure or permanent status. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
The duties of this position will include participation in a decision that may have a material/financial benefit to the incumbent. Therefore, this is a designated position under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code and the incumbent will be required to file a Form 700: Statement of Economic Interest and is subject to the regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission. (Group/Category: Procurement Card Holder, 2) Note this designation is applicable only if Procurement Card is issued.
