The Information Security Team leads Verisign's information security programs, operations, and governance to ensure the safety, security and stability of Verisign's infrastructure and information. The Principal Security Architect of Identity and Access Management (IAM) is responsible for providing leadership and subject matter expertise for all identity related solutions in the company.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the IAM technical security subject matter expert for all products and solutions at Verisign

Work with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to design, develop, and implement enterprise wide IAM solutions

Develop the global IAM security strategy, architecture and execution

Identify gaps between current state and target state architecture and develop the short and long term IAM roadmaps to close those gaps while improving our programs

Develop IAM security capabilities for internal employees, external customers and business partners to include credential management, identity provisioning, access provisioning, privileged account management, enterprise authentication, identity federation, identity storage and enterprise certificates

Communicate security strategy and drive the standardization and consistent application of security principles to all stakeholders

Function as a principal IAM security technologist to perform technology evaluation, define use cases, architect Proof of Concept (POC) environments, and lead POC execution

Evaluate leading edge technologies that align with target state architecture

Assist products in incorporating IAM architecture into their product management roadmaps

Develop IAM solutions that protect against external and internal threats

Assist in cyber incident response as needed as an IAM SME

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree computer science, technology or related discipline
  • Certified Identity and Access Management (CIAM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification
  • 12 + years of related experience in an Information technology role with increasing responsibility in information security architecture focusing on IAM security
  • 12 + years' experience leading and motivating cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals. This requires both quantitative and interpersonal skills
  • Expert solution knowledge and implementation experience in building IAM capabilities in a complex global infrastructure designed for high availability
  • Familiar with how cyberattacks are carried technically and can build IAM architecture constructs to prevent attacks and enable incident response
  • Ability to research, analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Possess the personality and behaviors to rapidly establish themselves as trusted advisor to the business and as interpreters for the development of IT security solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
