Project Manager

Our client is completing a programme to separate applications and infrastructure from a mostly on premise environment into the cloud.

Working for our Retail Client, the Services you will perform are...

• Project management of one or more of the following application areas:

- Supply Chain Planning

- Warehouse Management Systems

- Distribution

- HR

• Definition and agreement with stakeholders of the project scope and quantifiable deliverables
• Creation, management, alignment and communicating of the project and financial plans.
• Identifying, highlighting, and documenting risks and issues to the plans. Tracking risks and issues through to resolution.
• Work in partnership with the business change team to land the new and upgraded systems into the operation without disruption.
• Management of 3rd party vendors - including the agreement and tracking of KPIs to monitor performance.
• Resourcing the project effectively utilising in-house resources and third party. Manage the project resources to deliver to agreed targets.
• Regular communication of progress to all levels of business and IT.

You will have...

• A demonstrable track record of IT project delivery - at least one of the successfully delivered projects will have been a platform migration project.
• Expertise in working with systems in the applicable application area, along with the business processes commonly associated with their usage.
• Experience of working with and managing multiple vendors. Skilled in ensuring they meet required quality levels and deliver to time and budget
• Strong technical knowledge to be confident of completeness of all IT aspects of delivery and support.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with the business and IT, in many cases remotely.

Initially a 6 month contract role working from home due to Covid restrictions.

When restrictions are eased you may be required to work 1-2 days a week at Watford Head Office or at distribution sites in Northampton where applicable.
