The Director/Senior Director Pipeline Commercialization Lead will report directly to the SVP, Commercial as an individual contributor. This person will be responsible for providing strategic Commercial oversight and direction for development assets (ie, assets from Discovery through pre-Commercialization). This input will help the Pipeline Project Team make business-critical decisions during the Development and pre-Commercialization process. This person will be responsible for supporting early Commercial strategy work in Oncology with a strong focus on pipeline asset strategy. Additionally, this person would support market preparation and new product planning.


Job Responsibilities


Lead Commercial planning for Clovis Oncology's radiopharmaceutical pipeline products, including market and opportunity assessments
Develop early Commercial assessments in collaboration with the development team, Commercial operations, finance and marketing team based upon relevant disease and target product profiles, competitive landscapes, patient flow/pathways and stakeholders in the value chain
Work collaboratively with market planning vendor to monitor evolving market dynamics and competitive intelligence globally
Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned Oncology Tumor Types, staying abreast of both scientific and Commercial developments in the space, while providing strategic direction and a comprehensive plan for the development assets
Work with various global functions such as clinical development, translational medicine, Market Access, outcomes research, medical affairs, Sales Marketing, finance and Clovis' development partner to define a rapid, robust and broad development strategy
Create early Commercialization brand plans for assets in P1 and P2, ensuring the US and Ex-US customer voice is included
Design and execute insight generation plans to collect the required US payer, HCP and patient insights to inform clinical development programs and asset strategies
Provide input to the patient sub-groups and necessary clinical trial end points needed to successfully commercialize products
Create robust value propositions for payers and health systems, partnering closely with medical affairs, HEOR, marketing and market access


Qualifications


Deep understanding of US pharmaceutical R&D process required; prefer prior experience working in or with development teams
Extensive oncology knowledge - prior experience working in Oncology required; experience with radiopharmaceutical products a plus
Strong understanding of US payer market dynamics, managed care organizations and pricing and reimbursement considerations
Understanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug development, promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processes
Strong analytical skills, including experience with developing and testing assumptions, developing forecasts, determining Commercial value, assessing risk and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research, building research/evidence plans to inform strategy
Demonstrated ability to understand and translate clinical/scientific information
Proven leadership skills and ability to work in close cross-functional collaboration with project leadership, clinical development, regulatory, translational medicine, market planning, marketing and other functions
Pushes development of pipelines assets and incorporation of disease level market insight plans in collaboration with cross-functional project teams


Education and Experience


Bachelor's degree (minimum); MBA or science-related graduate degree preferred
10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech, new product planning, Commercial marketing/sales and/or market insights experience
Additional experience required in new product planning, portfolio prioritization, marketing, Market Access and pricing, brand planning, KOL engagement or market research for products from early development through commercialization
Requires a demonstrated ability to think strategically and to assess long term implications of near-term decisions and align and engage both internal and external stakeholders to drive new product commercialization success
Previous product launch experience preferred


Compensation


Salary range for this position is $160,000 - $230,000.


Working Conditions


Option to work in San Francisco, CA or Boulder, CO office (remote-based acceptable, if required)
Ability to effectively work collaboratively in a virtual environment
