Senior Associate Scientist - Immunology

The Amgen Translational Immunology and Safety Sciences group based in South San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to independently conduct immune related safety assessments to support Oncology, Inflammation, Cardio-metabolic disorders pipeline projects.
In this vital role you will collaborate closely with scientists within the Translational Safety organization, perform literature-based evaluation and in vitro assays for various pipeline projects and present the work to cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree and 3 years of immunology, immune-oncology or molecular biology experience
Or
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of immunology, immune-oncology or molecular biology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or MD with 1-3 years of research experience or Master's degree with 5+ years of research experience in the fields of immunology, immune-oncology or molecular biology.
The candidate should be able to independently initiate and drive projects, intellectually contribute to the project development as well as perform cellular immunological techniques, including multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD and in vitro immune cell assays.
The candidate is expected to have basic immunology training and strong cellular immunology and cell culture technical skills. In addition, the candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly motivated, creative and collaborative.
Track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement in the area of immunology
