As a Director of Product Management, you will pioneer products that transform the way people learn.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

Lead customer research to define key customer needs around a holistic ELT digital experience, including critical digital use cases for administrators, instructors and students.
Understand the competitive landscape, including target customers, digital offerings, value proposition, pricing, strengths and weaknesses.
Identify and prioritize solutions to address holistic customer needs.
Define features, and strategic positioning of each feature, required to deliver prioritized solutions that meet customer needs and align with overall value proposition.
Determine whether features can support and extend existing Cengage technology to maximize enterprise value, and what level of ELT-specific development is required.
Partner with UX to develop, test and finalize holistic digital experiences (including integration of content and technology into a seamless user experience).
Build multiple sets of detailed roadmaps and requirements for ELT & dependent platform teams, as well as content development teams.
Collaborate with ELT Product team to ensure digital content is developed in alignment with value proposition and content requirements.
Lead cross-functional delivery teams during build phase to ensure effective and timely implementation of solutions.
Support go-to-market activities to ensure successful launch of digital solutions.
Develop, measure, and achieve KPIs for platform experiences.


Minimum of 13 years of experience in software product management and/or product development
7+ years of experience managing product.
A track record of successful product launches.
Strong understanding of product and profitability modeling, business case generation and validation of potential product ideas.
Experience with high growth or transformative companies, or high-growth software divisions within larger companies is a must.
Comfort working closely with software teams and engineers.
Proven ability to develop analysis-based strategic plans to penetrate markets and develop successful products.
Demonstrated ability to work within a Matrix environment.
Communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis to day-to-day management.
Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development, DevOps SDLC models.
Experience in management and/or technology consulting highly preferred.
BA or equivalent experience, CS or business degree a plus.
