This leader will have the opportunity to reshape an existing team to more effectively compete in the modern educational marketplace. A player/coach leadership orientation is required to paint a vision of what is possible while also coaching team members through the adjustment phase. This is an opportunity to build a high-performance organization in a critical area for Pearson's continued evolution. Similarly, this leader will play a critical role in supporting POL's transition to a market leading consumer education brand.
A senior level role, he/she will prepare and present Executive level presentations and reports which interpret consumer behavior, market opportunities/conditions, marketing results, trends, and media investment levels. They will use their industry knowledge of media planning, media buying, branding and client relationship management to influence partners towards efforts which drive and improve results. Negotiation acumen is a core element of the Vice President, Media Investment's role and will play an integral part in influencing internal and external stakeholders towards reaching objectives. This is Senior/Management level position which requires expert knowledge in leading a creative agency, client relationships, and the ability to work independently.
The Sr. Director, Learner Engagement is responsible for resource planning and management including hiring, training, coaching, developing, objective setting and performance management. Their role is to develop a positive environment and contribute constructively and meaningfully to the organizational culture.
The selected individual will help Pearson's ongoing evolution and bring our vision to life via more modern marketing to efficiently identify, acquire, retain, and monetize global learners

4-year degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Business Administration or related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years managing high performing teams, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams remotely.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in media planning, brand strategy, account management and/or related field with proven ability to provide specific experience in the following areas:
Management across large and diverse teams with extensive experience in the following areas:
Initiating and managing large scale and complex projects across numerous cross functional and central marketing teams.
Excellent strategic problem solving, negotiation, and influencing skills to guide team discussion with consideration of multiple factors and stakeholders
Advanced brand management and brand campaign experience for tier 1 brands.
Seen as an authoritative expert in media, delivering consistent innovation in the online media space
Must have experience contributing to the building of large, well-recognized brands
Outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills with a high degree of maturity and professionalism
Customer service orientation with specific experience in handling high-profile, high-demand, senior level Academic Partners.
High degree of personal ownership and accountability to consistently deliver results in a fast paced and high-profile environment
