This leader has extensive experience in warehouse processes, controls, execution and management systems, and understands where processes, capabilities and configuration most optimally should exist - locally vs. globally; and be applied to increase through-put and overall facility efficiencies. The Director will support a team of specialists who will be responsible for defining the requirements, identifying, developing and applying standardized warehouse configuration solutions to increase operational, material and equipment flow; removing bottlenecks, and ensuring continuous product flow to customers. They will establish a framework for leading, managing, communicating, tracking and measuring changes for effectiveness and continuous improvement opportunities. They will work in collaboration with field operations leaders, facilities, Industrial engineers, product and technology leaders to knowledge share, working across sites, ensuring practices are applied consistently, and changes to configurations are well-documented. Through increasing the level of standardization across the network, this role will enable Supply Chain operations to explore additional technology solutions for routine/repeatable tasks. Additionally, this role will be responsible for unlocking new bandwidth for operational innovations by sharing best practices to remove redundant efforts and put more energy towards new problems.
This role resides in the Engineering & Systems organization but has a very strong Matrix reporting relationship with the SVP of Supply Chain Operations. This individual will partner closely with Operations leaders to prioritize focus areas to drive improved execution. Improving execution will range from supporting short-term improvements in process and equipment utilization rates, and will extend to long-term recommendations on warehouse controls, execution, and management systems for new investments.
