They will work closely with scientists in the Assay Development team to create and optimize new and innovative single cell and spatial multi-omic products. The candidate should have both an educational background and 5+ years of academic or industrial experience in one or more of the following disciplines: molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related fields. He/she should be driven by making great products and enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative and multi-disciplinary team environment.

What you will be doing:

Support the method development and optimization of novel molecular biology assay schemes for single cell and spatial transcriptomic applications including molecular barcoding, nucleic acid amplification, and NGS library preparation
Support the optimization of sample storage methods such as tissue and cell fixation, decrosslinking or reversible fixation for compatibility with single cell and spatial multi-omic profiling applications
Plan and perform experiments, and analyze their subsequent data
Write protocols, develop procedures, and maintain accurate records
Clearly communicate and present results; contribute data for making critical design decisions
To be successful in this role, you will need:

BS/MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field and 5+ years of hands-on molecular biology experience in an academic or industrial setting
Proficient in standard molecular biology techniques such as sample preparation, nucleic acid amplification and purification (RNA/DNA), qPCR, and DNA sequencing
Experience in troubleshooting and optimization of molecular biology assays including reagent formulation and workflow optimization
Experience with cell culture, tissue dissociation, and working with fixed samples
Hands-on experience with next generation sequencing library preparation workflows
Experience with experimental design and data analysis
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience performing complex multi-step experiments with detailed and diligent attention to planning, organization, hands-on technique, and record keeping
