Supporting and partnering with the Market Access team, this individual will assist in achieving and maintaining optimal market access conditions for REATA's product portfolio by:


Supporting the strategy of the Market Access team with the creation and execution of resources for the Payor audience and patient services hub
Partnering with relevant payer and key stakeholders for research and advisory boards
Following and evaluating health care policy development in orphan indications, especially in nephrology, neurology areas
Partnering in the development of the payer value story and proposition


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Provide support on the integration of critical data elements to build payer value proposition story for payer account team's coverage and access initiatives
Ensures development of key value messages
Ensures payer account and hub teams have the tools and resources needed to address potential gap analysis between payer expectations and what the Reata products can deliver
Ensures ongoing training forums to support best-in-class payer account and hub teams
Partners with each brand team on all brand initiatives impacted by payers, provider, and patient access issues
Keep abreast of and address data needs for clinical development, health economics, and medical affairs
Provides input into brand planning process that bridges coverage/access goals with emerging payer needs, ie, unmet medical need, suitable comparators, and competitive space
Tracks and ensures ownership and coordination around payer policies and trends that impact REATA therapeutic areas
Analyze and understand HEOR data in the development of resources for the payer teams
Tracks resource effectiveness via surveys and benchmarking

QUALIFICATIONS:


5+ years of related experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry or other relevant organizations; 3+ years of direct experience in Managed Markets and/or Marketing
Possess strong understanding of Market Access processes and policies on national and regional levels and knowledge and understanding across healthcare payers
Science and/or economic background preferred with strong analytical and methodical capabilities
Experience in pre-launch, launch and post-launch support of products
Knowledge in orphan indications and specialty pharmacy distribution a plus
Ability to develop, drive and implement projects in cooperation with internal and external parties, specifically with the Market Access team, including Trade and Brand Leads
Experience and strong working relationships with promotional review teams
Ability to multi-task across a wide variety of strategic and tactical activities in a deadline intensive environment
Ability to comprehend, summarize, and communicate/present issues in an effective leadership style
Proven ability to effectively manage Agency partners and budget
Travel: ~50%
