Job Description
The Digital Product Manager position is responsible for managing the development and lifecycle of digital products and solutions in support of our customer needs and US business objectives. Biogen is creating a cross-therapeutic area conversational web and phone Virtual Assistant (ie chatbot/interaction bot) based on Amazon Lex. This solution will enable scalability and cost avoidance within our patient services organization - enabling self-service mechanisms to support the informational needs and service-oriented needs of our customers.


This role will collaborate with stakeholders across a variety of functions such as Marketing, Patient Services, and IT to understand key business and customer objectives, understand technology solutions and dependencies, define best-in-class user experiences, and analyze data to inform digital product roadmaps.


This role is part of Biogen's US Multichannel Excellence group and supports both patient and healthcare professional customers, across all Biogen brands in the US.


Responsibilities include:


Manages digital product vision, scope, releases, and overall governance, including prioritization of business requirements and provides guidance on refinement and elaboration of the backlog
Drives the creation and evolution of the product roadmap - by drawing upon the collective thinking of a cross-functional team including marketers, technologists, strategists, and senior management
Leverages modern product development processes (eg design thinking and agile development) to drive timely decisions, conflict resolution, and incremental value to the customer
Defining product goals and metrics - leveraging those insights to inform data-driven decision making
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a track record for:


Digital product management experience in a regulatory environment
Exhibits competence in key technology platforms and solutions including - web portals, call center workflow management, content/data personalization engines, artificial intelligence, web content management, and/or responsive web applications.
Employs tools and methods for generating and validating user needs, ideas, and mapping those into a product roadmap
Communicates and champions product benefits to internal/external stakeholders and executive management
Deals Well with Ambiguity/Intensity - operates well in a fast-paced environment driven by senior leadership requests and evolving needs
Brief, clear writing style - both efficient and succinct in verbal and written communications
Cross-functional collaboration and project management - able to collaborate with various functional partners to source data, define business objectives, probe/ask questions, drive alignment
Knowledge of and proficiency with integrated customer experiences across channels
Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy, and bright individual with high intellectual curiosity
Experience Required:


At least seven years of experience working in a digital product management function or comparable entrepreneurial experience
Experience with phone and/or web-based virtual assistants
Consulting or digital agency background strongly preferred
Biotech/pharma/regulated industry experience preferred
Product roadmap development and socialization
Knowledge of and proficiency with integrated customer experiences across channels
Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy, and bright individual with high intellectual curiosity
Education:


BS/BA Required
