The Vice President, Product Management on the Data Products team leads product strategy and execution for existing and next-generation data products across numerous domains. The position oversees and develops a team of product management and domain experts to drive product innovation and execute on strategy and business objectives. The Vice President, Product Management influences the direction of existing data products as well as shapes the next generation of data products in line with FMI's overall product portfolio and corporate strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


Continuously improve and communicate agile product management process, culture, and best practices to enable development of software and data products and services, both within the department and to the broader organization.
Build and manage the annual and quarterly product planning process and budgets across multiple product verticals, and ensure alignment on requirements across FMI.
Develop and drive prioritization across all data product portfolios.
Lead a team of product directors who each lead a data product vertical.
Design, implement and execute on the overall data product roadmap working closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, Medical, BioPharma, Commercial, Marketing, Corporate Strategy, and Finance.
Design measurable tactical and strategic indicators of success that include data-driven inputs and outputs that will help drive accountability and alignment across the organization.
Develop and evaluate new product ideas and opportunities, as well as improve existing products and features, including developing and implementing a process to intake, triage, and prioritize new opportunities.
Identify build vs. buy vs. partner opportunities to deliver against customer needs.
Serve as a member of the Data Leadership team helping to continuously be the Voice of Product and to improve the overall function across many critical areas: recruiting, learning and development, product development processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
Represent the data product strategy and effectively communicate product roadmaps to executives across FMI.
Foster a product culture that understands the importance of rapid testing, learning and iteration.
Attract, develop and retain high quality talent.
Other duties pertinent to overseeing the product management function as assigned.


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelors Degree.
10+ years of prior work experience with progressively increasing responsibility, including 6+ years of experience in product management or product-specific roles in the technology or biotech industry.
4+ years of prior team leadership.


Preferred Qualifications:


4+ years of experience successfully leading and growing highly effective and impactful teams.
Extensive experience in software development lifecycle models and processes, especially Agile Scrum.
Experience with product management in healthcare and/or biotech.
A track recording of establishing a vision for a product or service and taking the idea from concept to successful commercial release/lifecycle management.
Ability to communicate complex propositions, products or services to internal and external stakeholders, as demonstrated by successful launch of products from business case through product delivery and management.
An entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action and ability to deal with extreme ambiguity and rapidly changing environments.
Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated experience in hypothesis-driven learning and turning data into actionable insights.
Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics.
Superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans.
Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy.
