As a key member of the Global Brand Strategy team, the Senior/Executive Director, Global Commercial Lead, is responsible for all aspect of global strategy for select portfolio assets. The role will lead cross-functional efforts to drive pre-launch, launch, and global commercialization of the product across key markets. This individual will also lead the development and implementation of lifecycle management strategy for the brand. Further, this leader will be a core contributor on the Program Core Team as the single commercial point contributing to the Clinical Development Plan and early strategy.
Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Lead the Global Franchise Team to develop and continuously enhance the global strategy
Provide input into the Target Product Profile and Clinical Development Plan, which drive the program strategy
Lead Scientific Platform and/or market research work, to inform strategy
Partner with Patient Diagnosis Programs on Patient Find strategy and execution
Contribute to clinical trial site selection based on global expansion strategy
Represent Commercial needs and priorities on cross-functinal Program Core Team
Represent global commercial interests in all assessment and decisions related to data generation, trial strategy, and manufacturing
Partner with Regions on ongoing launch and commercialization
Including driving the commercial perspective on regulatory and reimbursement strategy
Including leading assessment into new markets
Lead the annual brand planning process for the brand including strategy evolution, tactical planning, and budget development
Lead global initiatives in key areas including disease education, branding/promotion, and patient identification
Provide input into the development and update of global product revenue forecast
Technical Requirements & Skills:
10+ years of bio/pharmaceutical commercial experience
Proven experience leading brand(s) and setting the strategic direction
Ability to lead Matrix teams and align the organization behind clear strategic direction
Diverse commercial experience including previous global marketing role(s)
Sound strategic thinking and thoughtful approach to problem solving
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders without authority
Player-coach mindset with ability to operate at strategic levels as well as tactical levels
Intellectural and scientific curiosity
Comfort with change and ambiguity
Bachelors degree in business and/or science; advanced degree preferred (eg MBA, MS, Ph.D.)
Rare disease commercial experience preferred
Previous experience leading and/or working on partnered product(s) preferred
