Senior Associate Scientist - Structural Biology

We are seeking a senior associate scientist to join our Structural Biology Program at Thousand Oaks, CA. The Structural Biology laboratory provides comprehensive molecular insights and structure-based design for drug-target assessment, mechanism of action, protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions, as well as protein engineering to facilitate drug discovery across various therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will join a growing structural biology group and is responsible for designing and purifying target proteins for cryo-electron microscopy and Xray crystallography, data collection and structure determination of complex molecular structures.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree and 3 years of structural biology experience
Or
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of structural biology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience in large macromolecular complexes.
Knowledge of state-of-the-art X-ray crystallography including construct design, expression, purification, characterization, crystallization, structure determination and modelling.
Experience in single particle cryo-EM technology including grid freezing and screening, data collection and processing, three-dimensional reconstruction and model building.
Excellent presentation skills (written and oral) that improve team-based collaboration.
Ability to work independently and effectively within timelines and to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
Skills in managing multiple projects and capabilities to prioritize
