Senior Director Corporate Planning

The Senior Director, Corporate Planning will work with Acadia's cross-functional leadership teams to build, refine and implement the company's strategies and operational executional plans. This person will play a key role in driving large projects within the business while gaining unique insights and access to the organizational strategy and direction. Working with key stakeholders across the organization, this person will have oversight in building the meeting agendas and materials and participate in Acadia's Board of Directors, Executive Management and Portfolio Steering Committee meetings. This strategic and facilitative role requires excellent diplomacy and the desire to play an active role behind-the-scenes to refine our business plans. This position reports into the Sr. Vice President, Chief Analytics Officer, and will work closely with the office of the CEO.
Work directly with the SVP, Chief Analytics Officer and Executive Leadership Team to set the agenda for each of Acadia's strategic planning meetings (EMC, PSC and BoD).
Actively support and participate in meetings, capturing decisions made and action plans to share with the broader teams.
Utilize excellent planning skills to ensure all department projects remain on track and teams are aligned.
Communicate effectively and thoroughly to keep all stakeholders engaged and aligned to our cross-functional objectives.
Work cross-functionally across R&D, Commercial, Regulatory, Business Development, Legal, Finance, and related functions to identify opportunities and risks to the business that require senior leadership's attention.
Develop, lead and present projects to executive leadership in collaboration with partners to gain alignment and resources for programs.
Identify business priorities that need to be presented and discussed at key corporate meetings including, but not limited to, EMC, PSC and Acadia Board of Directors meetings.
Communicate clear outcomes/decisions to ensure all teams are fully informed and able to act on the agreed upon path forward.
Work with the project planners in R&D to bring issues and opportunities for each development stage program forward to assist Acadia in thoughtfully advancing assets throughout their lifecycle.
Raise awareness where there is a lack of alignment to ensure the successful advancement of projects, programs and operational objectives.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience focusing on program management, operations and cross-functional team leadership at a pharmaceutical/biotech company which includes experience managing process and projects to effectively meet timeframes. A Master's Degree in Business and/or Operations Management preferred. An appropriate combination of education/experience will be considered.
Strong cross-functional leadership abilities and an excellent working knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development process
Highly-developed communications skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal savvy
Demonstrated knowledge of the commercialization process for both development stage and in market pharmaceutical assets
Proven active listening skills and the ability to distill complex issues and present them in a clear, easy to understand manner
Organizational and political agility; developed negotiation skills

Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Strong strategic/financial analysis skills

Experience working closely with executive management in various work situations
In-depth knowledge and skill with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other reporting and tracking tools and communication software
Ability to develop, track, and communicate project timelines to team members
Ability to accommodate shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies, strategies and approaches that enhance the team's ability to achieve goals and meet timelines/deliverables
Position may require travel up to ~20% of the time
