The Global Product Line Manager is responsible for delivering against the Indian Motorcycle clothing, gifts & gear strategy leveraging internal and external capabilities to improve assortment for our customers while growing global revenues and enhancing margins. Theyre charged with ownership of assigned marketplaces, execution of business plans, sales and margin accountability, project calendar adherence, omni-channel marketing, and cross-functional leadership.

Duties and responsibilities

Product Line Leadership


Responsible for driving overall strategic direction of the product line, including which classes to grow, decline and maintain in accordance with customer and business priorities of each operating channel.
Determine category profit and revenue goals for each segment as well as plans to achieve them.
Oversee and manage the execution of business plans while adhering to calendar and budget expectations.
Analyze product sell-through, turns and margins to make business decisions and maximize results; Analyze and report on style/category/channel business performance on a regular basis.
Regularly collaborate with finance, sales and purchasing departments to ensure forecasts are in-line with projected financial plans.
Partner with Teton Outfitters in establishing vendor support structure by defining roles for all current and future third parties.


Product Planning, Research & Development


Develop seasonal product line plans that contribute to the overall categorys business plan; Use organizational learnings, trends & consumer research to inform these plans.
Lead the product development team in the creation of short and long-term strategies, tactical product executions and innovations.
Establish a product wholesale and global retail pricing structure that meets revenue and profitability targets.
Create product briefs that inspire design and development in the product process. Incorporate marketplace influences and consumer insights; Provide briefs that give clear product direction and information to development and design partners.
Demonstrate clear understanding of costing details (fabric, trim, CM), ensuring thoughtful decision making on product attributes as well as supply avenues for optimized business results.
Define relevant competitors for category; maintain awareness of trends and competition and apply to business planning.
Present product lines to various internal and external audiences such as key accounts and Sales/Upper Management at key events such as: Pre-Lines, Sample Reviews, Sales Meetings and Trade Shows.
Ensure good aesthetic judgment and brand understanding during the product development process, including Indian Motorcycle brand licensing decisions


Marketing Leadership


Develop marketing strategies and campaigns to reach target market segments and increase category sales.
Lead marketing executions for Indian Motorcycle clothing, gifts and gear across all paid, owned, and earned channels.
Develop and execute comprehensive digital content strategy to enhance digital footprint while driving consumer engagement with the Indian Motorcycle Outpost eComm website.
Deliver creative that fuels an always-on, omni-channel market presence.


Education/Experience


Bachelors Degree required
5+ years of apparel experience, preferably in product management, marketing or strategic brand management
Understanding key retail sales metrics and key merchandising requirements
Excellent presentation skills. Ability to present to and persuade a wide range of audiences from Polaris Senior Management, to external stakeholders and partners.
Proven project management and analytical skills. Knowledge and experience with quantitative and qualitative market research tools. Strong customer, brand and channel experience
Comprehensive understanding of social media landscape
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to lead and influence employees at all levels of the organization
Independently drive business results
2+ Years of experience with omni-channel retail
