The Inventory Management Director is accountable for the strategy and coordination for the development, communication, and attainment of division/subdivision inventory management financial plans and goals. The IM Director leads the division or sub-division through the successful development, execution and communication of financial and inventory plans and strategies to meet or exceed sales, gross margin, GMROI and inventory goals. The IM Director is accountable for the continual success of the division/subdivision including articulating vision, measuring and developing talent, and ensuring successful operations of teams.

Manage team of Inventory Managers, Inventory Planners and Inventory Analysts and provide leadership by creating a collaborative, innovative and results-orientated environment
Balance workload priorities across division and departments to ensure successful execution of inventory management
Drive career development and skill development of teams to ensure job satisfaction, retention and future talent development
Accountable for communication of brand, business unit, and division strategies
Business Process Management


Evaluate and recap seasonal performance to influence future strategies
Develop seasonal flow forecasting strategies that incorporate DC and store inventory levels and store delivery timing
Lead continuous improvement process of IM processes to ensure ongoing effectiveness and efficiency
Financial Planning & Forecasting


Develop and communicate comprehensive (seasonal and long-term) division financial & product strategies
Ensure alignment of division plans to business unit objectives
Lead development of annual, seasonal, monthly and weekly merchandise plans
Develop allocation strategies that support pre-season and in-season objectives
Develop in-season financial strategies including pricing, promotions and markdowns that are optimized to deliver financial targets
Lead monthly open-to-buy process
Manage the reconciliation of business unit financial plans

Guide department and divisional inventory parameters and replenishment plans to ensure alignment with strategic targets and consistency at division level
Develop allocation strategies that support pre-season and in-season objectives

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
7-10 years work experience, preferable in Inventory Management
4 years of supervisory experience
