Senior Merchandising Analytics Manager

Chewy is looking for a Senior Merchandising Analytics Manager to join our Merchandising Analytics Team based in Dania Beach, FL. In this role, you will partner directly with Merchandising senior leadership to influence strategies across our Proprietary Brands businesses. You'll also partner with cross-functional teams on building and rolling out analytics tools and processes.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exemplary skills analyzing large data sets, partnering with business stakeholders, and turning analyses into actionable insights. This individual is highly proficient in developing and executing cross-functional project plans while being able to operate with minimal direction from leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will lead analyses, share findings with business teams, and drive strategies that promote favorable financial and customer experience outcomes.
What Youll Do:
Lead development of best-in-class measurement frameworks for evaluating Proprietary Brand assortment, customer experience, and financial measures.
Independently identify opportunities to improve Proprietary Brand performance by analyzing large data sets and synthesizing insights for category leaders and cross-functional teams
Leverage data and technology to build reports and tools that provide insights on Proprietary Brand performance versus competitive sets and category trends
Partner with Proprietary Brands teams to improve customer experience measures (eg product ratings and returns) and financial health measures
Program manage cross-functional initiatives which require development of data products and driving accountability across Merchandising and non-Merchandising stakeholders
Partner with business analysts and data engineering teams to prioritize and QA development of new data tables, metrics, and products
Mentor entry level business analysts
What Youll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Math, Statistics, Economics or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis.
Minimum 6 years of related work experience analyzing data and delivering business insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to translate analyses into business actions
Advanced Excel skills (data connections, complex formulas, pivot tables; VBA is a nice-to-have)
Strong data visualization skills using software such as Tableau or complementary visualization tools
Proficiency in SQL
High degree of proficiency interpreting business metrics, executing complex analyses, and connecting multiple data sources to explain business performance
Proven experience independently managing cross-functional projects, delivering results on tight timelines
Familiarity with Ecommerce pricing, assortment, fulfillment, and inventory management strategies
Thorough understanding of Financial KPIs, P&L statement, and assortment management metrics
Superior attention to detail
Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with speed and commitment
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ecommerce or Retail experience leading assortment and inventory management strategies
Masters or equivalent advanced academic degree
Project Management Certification
Advanced technical skills using R, Python, or other programming languages
Data modeling experience in Merchandising, Finance, Retail/Ecommerce
