The Sr. Director, PMO is responsible for supporting the Executive Growth Agenda Strategy, providing global strategic management support to all teams and leads the Kids 2 entity-wide project management office. This position will report to the CIO and assist in facilitation of strategic initiatives, and execution of core activities within the operating Matrix environment. Acting as an advisor to the leadership team and a strategic planning resource for the Executive team, this role will engage with all global teams to ensure that cross-functional collaboration is active and effective. S/he is responsible for the overall project portfolio management, program management of product development and the performance and effectiveness of the Global PMO team. S/he will have direct reports in China and in the U.S.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Support the Company's Leadership within Kids II core activities; ensure participation and alignment across critical functions; establish reporting mechanisms to track monthly senior leadership commitments
Serve as Project Owner and Project Manager for high investment/risk Kids II strategic initiatives;
Responsible for the functional Global PMO team, applying PMO fundamentals to deliver value by developing and managing the project lifecycle and pipeline processes; provides executive summary on project portfolio health;
Define Scope, Budget, Schedule, and Risk Management criteria to assist Executive team with prioritization of Tier 1 & 2 projects and team role assignments;
Act in a "challenge and support" role with Executive leaders and strategic initiative owners within the business, helping establish the business case in addition to go-forward governance, resources required, milestones, and KPI s of each initiative;
Lead by influence, providing coaching and leadership in situations that require incremental stakeholder involvement and/or change management;
Anticipate issues through relationship building across the organization. Define mitigation plans as necessary and proactively communicate to manage risks.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


5 years Executive experience preferred
10-15 years of Operations Management experience
5-10 years of Project Management experience
Experience in consumer products, product development and production management preferred
Experience working Globally-China experience preferred.
Willingness to work hours outside of normal US business day and travel to China when necessary. .


EDUCATION & SKILLS


Bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, or related discipline required; MBA preferred
PMP certification required
Must possess a proven track record of effectively interacting with Executive teams
Demonstrates cross-functional leadership capabilities including relationship management skills to effectively work with peers, business leaders and project stakeholders in multiple departments and remote locations
Process improvement and change management experience
Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Analytical and problem-solving skills


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


PMP certification required


COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS


Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with project management software is strongly preferred.
