Vice President Creative & Editorial

The VP of Creative & Content will be a true communications & editorial expert and will lead the Ulta Beauty internal creative agency - including the vision, planning, creation and execution of all creative and brand marketing assets, across all channels and platforms. This includes elevating messaging to guests and potential guests by developing detailed brand guidelines and owning the creative vision & identity for Masterbrand, as well as the portfolio (Ultamate Rewards, Ulta Beauty Collection, The Salon at Ulta Beauty, etc). Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will lead the Digital Creative, Print Creative, Creative Operations, Social Creative, Video, Copy, and Editorial teams.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP of Creative & Content will develop the brand's creative vision, brand identity strategy, editorial approach and execution working closely with Integrated Marketing leadership, agency leadership, and CMO.
Directs all creative teams in the development of all brand marketing assets, including all editorial & promotional content, video, photography, design, illustration, physical collateral, and final art - across all owned, earned, and paid channels (print, ulta.com and app, digital marketing, social media, in store visual)
Ensure company priorities, goals and values are supported within direct and indirect team and inspire a shared vision with the creative team.
With a team of 40+, the ability to inspire, lead, hire, and develop ensuring the team and individuals are poised for growth.
Develop a deep understanding of our target audiences to deliver high quality creative solutions that have an instant, positive impact on the consumer.
Lead the creative operations that manages work flow for print, in store, and digital outputs
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
Qualified Candidates will have 15+ years' experience in ascending creative leadership roles and demonstrated success leading a creative team to create compelling brand and product stories, directed at the end consumer. Must have significant experience in developing communications for digital & social marketing channels.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with strong persuasive skills and proven ability to influence cross functional teams.
Successful track record of interacting and collaborating with other departments on both strategy development and execution.
Proven talent management experience with ability to identify, attract, cultivate, retain and grow top performers (internal and external) in a world-class creative team.
Experienced in developing & evolving organizational/team design, clears roles & responsibilities (working with other leader on interdependencies) and efficient & effective processes.
Exceptional organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex processes, and meet both short-term and long-term deadlines.
