Business Manager, Global Compensation

Were looking for an inventive Business Manager to support the Nike Global Compensation team! Our team builds, implements, and manages Nike's Global Compensation portfolio of programs. We are looking for a team member to take on a multi-faceted role focusing on helping our organization deliver top level strategy and results through an informed and engaged global team. We are searching for a proactive and technologically savvy leader, who thrives in ambiguity, has a bias for action, with a proven background utilizing a proficiency in written and verbal communication to influence and collaborate with senior level executives. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this role, you will develop and lead our Global Compensation Portfolio Management Process! This is the process by which we surface potential project work on a global scale, scope and vet, and decide on prioritized work in coordination with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Nike's strategic planning process. You'll be responsible for a coordinated project timeline, which includes items such as key portfolio deliverable dates along with ongoing keep the lights on program key dates and results. You'll also plan, facilitate, and lead ongoing portfolio update meetings for the organization.
Additionally, you will be a key lead regarding establishing and managing our Global Compensation budgets, including programs budgets and forecasting in addition to departmental budget management.
Strong team engagement is a key team focus and path to success. In this role you'll be required to find creative ways to pulse organization engagement, needs, and desires and report these findings to your Vice President and leadership team. You'll help develop innovative solutions to address these findings and drive engagement. You'll drive a team monthly newsletter and/or similar communication practices, providing key highlights including project achievements, personal breakthroughs, team member recognition, etc. Furthermore, you will be responsible for organizing and facilitating staff meetings, team development sessions, and off-sites. You'll create and facilitate communications frameworks such as monthly team café meetings and global all-hands. You'll also partner with your VP to facilitate performance management activities and annual talent planning meetings.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role you will be working with the VP, Global Compensation and leadership team, Total Rewards and Operations Strategy and Planning Leaders, and other leaders in the TRO organization. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Vice President of Global Compensation, you will anticipate the needs of the leadership team. While handling highly confidential information, you'll differentiate between the team's needs and wants, while identifying what is reliable and disseminating strong ideas. Working as a part of this leadership team you will provide input on team engagement, research requests, portfolio management, support, etc.
WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years of demonstrable experience in human resources, project/portfolio management, research/research design, communications, management advising or related field.
2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Slack, or similar team efficiency software solution.
General technical proficiency in Windows and Mac/iOS.
Baseline knowledge of using PDF for creation of content.
Demonstrable experience driving multiple, simultaneous cross-functional projects across a global, matrixed environment.
Demonstrable experience using Adobe Acrobat for content creation.
