The Sr Director, Measurement & Optimization will lead a team powering Nike's evolving capability in Marketing measurement. This person will work with stakeholders in Nike Marketing and partner across our Global Consumer Insights function to build a best-in-class strategy of marketing measurement and application that aligns to the goals of Nike's Consumer Direct Acceleration.


In this role, you will lead a team of experienced analytics professionals to define strategic consumer-based outcomes of marketing investments and quantify Nike's successful progress toward those outcomes via a variety of tools, including Key Performance Indicator definition, holistic measurement frameworks/models and robust testing. To do this, we are seeking a candidate with industry-leading experience in the Marketing Science space and a track record of collaborating to concept, launch and drive a comprehensive measurement program.

What you will work on


Set team strategy, roadmap, and analytics priorities to enable development and execution of innovative solutions that facilitate Nike's marketing offense
Lead Marketing Science agenda and efforts in moving from channel-based measurement to measurement based on holistic marketing mix across the marketing funnel
Coordinate across Global and Geo-based teams of marketing science professionals to ensure Nike's most complex strategic, operational and commercial objectives related to marketing investment are met - across mediums, channels and intent
Own relationships with diverse business partners to understand current and anticipate future customer and business needs, understand requirements and define relevant strategic questions
Ensure continual monitoring of the Nike value chain and external environment to challenge assumptions around performance measurement and application
Partner across Insights and Technology teams at Nike to help accelerate and leverage data capabilities
Partner with Finance and Strategy teams to leverage measurement capabilities in forward planning
Shape research and analytic plans, developing appropriate quantitative methodologies, and driving quality execution of end-to-end analytics programs
Lead broad adoption of an iterative testing offense that demonstrates existing knowledge to make continual optimization progress
Build, lead, mentor, and encourage your team; managing performance, goals and development potential


What you bring


10+ Years in Analytics/Application with a focus on marketing measurement and attribution


Paid & Owned channels


Experience working in a direct-to-consumer retail brand preferred


Experience with Media Mix Modeling and Multi-touch attribution preferred


Track record of collaboration and experience working directly with partners to define and activate a measurement strategy


Knowledge of best practices & current trends in marketing measurement and strategy


Passion for understanding consumer needs coupled with ability to use analytics to measure/capture behaviors and find opportunities to accelerate growth


Ability to translate business strategy to data needs to data strategy


International/multi-market content experience


Demonstrable experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams with varied levels of understanding of analytics
