Manager, Corporate Communications

The Manager of Corporate Communications is a key member of cross-functional and cross-Business Unit teams that design and deliver comprehensive communications plans for confidential change and transformation initiatives that support the Leadership Team's strategic agenda for the company. The Manager serves as a communications business partner to the company's Business Units and enterprise functions, including Global Business Services, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Information Technology, eCommerce and more, by shaping and contributing to the strategy, development, implementation and evaluation of communications directed to internal audiences ranging from 1,000 to over 30,000 total employees.
The incumbent will provide counsel to functional and at times, Business Unit partners, oversee the planning and execution of deliverables and ensure strategic alignment with corporate narrative and brand standards across work in the form of, but not limited to, executive emails, talking points, FAQs, video scripts, internal mobile application content and presentations. As a collaborative contributor to the Corporate Communications team, the Manager will also partner with other communications staff and ensure harmonization of messaging and standards across all internal, functional communications initiatives.
The incumbent will establish relationships and work closely with cross-functional/Business Unit counterparts to develop campaigns that inform and educate employee groups on important, strategic and at times, sensitive change and transformation projects. He, she or they will also proactively promote employee awareness of enterprise function objectives, programs, policies, priorities and more through effective internal communications across multiple channels. The Manager plays a role in driving employee engagement, building organizational culture and advancing the company's strategic agenda through timely, consistent and cohesive corporate messaging.
Serve as the Corporate Communications business partner to cross-functional and cross-BU teams implementing confidential change and transformation programs.
Ensure targeted audiences understand the objectives, supporting rationale, practical effects and business impacts of change and transformation projects.
Develop relationships with and lead communications efforts for enterprise functions including Global Business Services, Finance, Legal, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Procurement, eCommerce and Design.
Counsel Business Units and provide communications expertise for BU-specific communications.
Develop and manage strategic communications plans from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and all deliverables are completed on time, ensuring audiences receive effective and timely communications.
Provide counsel and strategic advice to functional and BU partners, ensuring communications best practices are followed and all communications content is aligned with brand guidelines and corporate narrative.
Utilize multiple communications platforms (including mobile application, digital signage, email, video and live presentation) to achieve maximum communications effectiveness.
Write and edit internally directed communications including, but not limited to, emails, talking points, digital signage copy and PowerPoint for functional partners.
Partner with communications team members to align narrative, communications goals and strategies.
Develop communications deliverables and strategies that promote engagement and positive culture building.
Coordinate with internal partners (ie internal video, events and design staff) to build effective deliverables.
Measure reach and effectiveness of communications through surveys, open rates, views, etc.
Act as a trusted resource and develop relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in communications, public relations or journalism.
At least 7 years professional experience in corporate internal communications or agency role focused on corporate internal communications and/or transformation/change management and issues communications.
Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Must be willing and able to complete writing test.
Strategic thinker, capable of asking the right questions to ensure communications projects meet objectives.
Creative ability and journalistic instincts, with the natural tendency to find interesting stories in everyday situations and the desire to tell them in a compelling way.

Willing and able to travel as necessary when safe to do so (approx. 5-15% travel in post-pandemic circumstances).
