Xerox is looking for an experienced Machine Operator at our Webster, New York location.
Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of the 5090 family/IGEN3 fuser roll on the fully automated coating facilities in WFBC.
Essential Job Functions:
Set up, operate and perform adjustments on all the equipment required for liquid coating plus all Functions of Operator II (Helper). Set up Dennison Presses.
Tools & Equipment:
Coating booths, mix booths, grit blasters, grinders, sanding machines, ovens, shrink/stretch wrap machines, washers, fluid delivery systems, bench top lab equipment, SPC, scales, protective clothing, respirators and other safety, environmental and quality measurement tools as required.
Coolants, solvents, grit, sandpaper, grinding wheels, elastomer compounds, etc.
Experience- Looking for people with some experience with mechanical or electronic equipment- ie- experience working with automobiles, HVAC systems, performing basic diagnostics are all good work experiences.
Establish and maintain a safe work environment for all involved.
Be familiar with all safety procedures and with the wearing of the required protective gear.
Cleanliness - clean primer booth equipment, mix tanks, and the work area.
Perform weekly and daily PMs, replace small, easily accessible, wear items, etc.
Set up, change over equipment, select correct programs, run processing equipment.
Weigh roll and solutions mixtures.
Monitor oven temperatures, coating room temperatures and relative humidity and other process variables.
Check fluidizer and monitor air pressure feeding the fluidizer. Same for other coating methods as required.
Operate semi-automated and automated devices like robots, etc.
Monitor semi-automated and automated polisher buffers.
Measure Chart SPC/Quality Assurance parameters.
Perform adjustments on process equipment to ensure the process is maintained within operating procedures/limits.
Interface with computer systems, troubleshoot, interface with Engineering and maintain process setpoints.
Mixing - solvents, organic materials and others, etc.
Pack and unpack, load and unload, transport parts within the work area and solutions, assemble, disassemble, write documentation, report, record and be responsible for the quality of the parts within the cell.
No machine ownership - machining cell oriented - know and run all equipment in the cell rotate as required.
Employment Physical, Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen and Education Verification required if offered the position.
