The Accelerando - Critical Project Management will:
The Accelerando Group is an internal, specialized project management team with highly experience PMs who work on top priority programs across the Johnson & Johnson Enterprise. They act as internal consultants bringing unique tools and expertise for project execution, increasing probability of success.
A summary of responsibilities follows:
Complementary PM Support for highest priority programs as needed.
Deploy to most complex projects as needed to set teams up for success.
Triage opportunities for new process projects.
Work with direct reports to conduct the 5 conversations and provide input to individual development plans.
Facilitate the build, refinement and approval of Project business cases with development teams and the relevant decision-making executive/investment committees.
Foster Knowledge retention and lessons learned across teams and the enterprise.
Hybrid role, with direct report responsibility deployed to projects as needed.
Integrate Accelerando vision with broad based enterprise strategy in the context of in depth business understanding to solve gaps in current cross-departmental processes and organizational structures
Accountable to negotiate and communicate with senior leaders (functions, franchise leaders and Governance) with a focus on Accelerando practices and the alignment to acceleration business cases.
Proactively translates processes, knowledge, and expertise into specific solutions for individual customers
Direct, Manage and oversee Process Improvement projects
Fosters an environment that contributes to the success of other Accelerando Program Managers.
Partners with the Head of Accelerando and Accelerando Leadership Team to set strategic direction for the department.
Accountable for line management of ~6 direct reports including objectives setting, midyear feedback and year reviews.
Provide career guidance and direction to direct reports through regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings based on own past experience.
Help mentor other non-direct line report colleagues within and outside the CPPM group.
Participate as a member in the People Managers Forum, Year End Review calibration meetings and talent assessment activities as necessary.
A minimum of a B.S. Degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of product development experience required; prior pharma experience highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading cross functional projects in a pharma R&D environment required.
Experience directly managing others or demonstrated success in a formal mentor/trainer role is required
Previous line management experience preferred
Experience in a global Matrix organization is required.
Operational knowledge of project management systems and visualization software required.
Effective handling of conflicting priorities in changing cross-departmental, international environment is expected.
Professional project management certification (PMP, CPM, etc) is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to be creative and flexible to change/improve working environment in broad context is required
Demonstrated understanding of R&D Processes is required
