Export Compliance Supervisor

As the Export Compliance Supervisor you will manage a team of 3 Export Coordinators who are responsible for the placing and managing international orders at multiple manufacturing plants. This will include placing orders at the proper sourcing site, follow up with those sites on order releases, work with freight forwarders to plan the shipments, and communicate with other PPG regions on Order Status reports. The Supervisor will have a full understanding of compliance guidelines, regulations, experience and judgment are required for screening customers and products. The Supervisor will also participate in monthly SOP status meetings with each partner region and customer satisfaction must be achieved while adhering to regulatory requirements. The supervisor will also have their own set of accounts to manage with the team.
Manage a team of Export Compliance Coordinators who are responsible for determining whether a customer order can be shipped internationally per PPG Export Compliance guidelines and practices, US government regulations, PPG Product stewardship requirements, Financial Status, and any other export considerations.
Deliver approved purchase orders for US goods to sourcing locations. Orders are entered into Oracle ERP system.
Utilize existing systems and tools to handle customer/country specific requirements to translate purchase order details to operating systems at each plant or sourcing location
Work through established, approved freight forwarders to book/schedule shipments to meet ETA requirements. Communicate updated arrangements to customers, service providers and global supply chain.
Drive monthly meeting with Export Partners and review OTIF conformance Lead Time Respected Conformance Average Lead Time Forecast Accuracy BSR Planning.
Generate and oversee export compliance documentation as needed for export transactions such as the CI, SLI, Packing Lists, etc.
Serve as the point person for any system enhancements that may involve export related changes or improvements.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent Work Experience
Working knowledge of US export compliance is required
Proven leadership experience of 2-3 years in a compliance environment is required.
Strong technical skills and proven computer proficiencies are required (eg, Excel, Access, database management).
Oracle knowledge preferred but not required
Demonstrated high-level professional ability in both written and verbal communication as well as a demonstrated ability to work under minimum supervision is imperative.
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and people management skills in a fast-paced, multifaceted work environment are a must.
