Seniorr Ethics & Compliance Manager

Chewy is looking for a Sr Ethics & Compliance Manager (formerly posted externally as Employee Relations Manager) to join our Legal Department in Dania Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate has experience managing an employee open door complaint hotline for a multijurisdictional employer, including extensive employee investigations experience and compilation and analysis of hotline-related data. The candidate should also have experience reviewing and revising employer HR policies, monitoring new developments related to multijurisdictional employment laws, and auditing internal HR processes. This role will support the business by partnering across Legal, HR, and IT to implement changes to the employee investigations procedures as well as technological processes/platforms.
What Youll Do:
This position reports to the Associate General Counsel, in partnership with whom you will manage the intake, assign to investigators, and review internal employment investigative reports. The role includes creating, implementing, and revising processes, system enhancements, and workflows to ensure a robust internal investigation regime.
In partnership with Legal Department resources and HR, this role is accountable for developing, communicating and maintaining compliant enterprise-wide policies and processes pertaining to investigations of wage and hour, harassment and discrimination, FMLA, accommodation, and other employee relations issues.
Assists with identifying new, existing and revised federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, analyzes cross-company compliance risk and recommends policy and procedural changes
Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure corporate adherence thereto
Knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures in areas such as recruitment, training and development, promotion, and retention
Builds strong working relationships with internal and business team members
Reviews and revises employment policies consistent with all applicable laws
Assists in developing training programs pertaining to employment law compliance
Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned
What Youll Need:
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple employment/HR compliance projects simultaneously
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are a must, as you will be reviewing and managing a broad range of internal investigations
PHR or similar certification preferred
Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Labor Relations, Human Resources or related fields
5+ years' experience as HR Generalist, Employee Relations Manager, or related roles
Can-do attitude and good sense of humor
Position may require travel
J.D. with employment litigation experience, or Master's Degree in Labor Relations or Human Resources
Experience with project management and process improvement
SPHR or similar certification
