The LifeScience Portfolio Manager Proteomics is responsible for maintaining and developing the Proteomic portfolio, including Antibodies, of products and services in LifeScience. He/she partners closely with the other LifeScience Portfolio Managers, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Sourcing, Technical and Operations functions to evaluate and launch new private label and branded products. The LifeScience Portfolio Manager Proteomics will identify product gaps in our portfolio and launch new products to close these gaps. Together with the other Portfolio Managers and Sourcing he/she will ensure alignment of suppliers and portfolio strategies on a Global level.


Gap analysis of the products related to the Proteomic workflows (reagents, kits, consumables, equipment and instruments) Develop strategies and identify opportunities through analysis of market and customer segments that are served or potentially served by the defined workflows. Key aspects as follows:
Identify market and technology trends, customer needs, competitive activity/positioning

Develop customer segmentation, value understanding and value propositions

Identify opportunities for innovation and new growth

Prepare business cases to be presented to upper management

Determine opportunities for value creation and innovation/new product growth Prepare RFQ's and reach out to potential suppliers and/or own manufacturing sites to evaluate best suitable source for the products. Accountability for the results and success of the Proteomic business Partner with portfolio management and sourcing in the introduction of new products Work collaboratively with commercial, sourcing and operations functions to achieve strategic objectives Performs other duties as assigned with or without accommodation



Bachelor's Degree in a LifeScience branch (or other related sciences or specialism)

MBA preferred


Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial roles within the LifeScience field. With high preference in Proteomics

Strong commercial experience in a product management, marketing or strategic marketing role required

Experience identifying and developing business growth opportunities towards the delivery of profitable growth required

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities

Ability to work effectively both globally and cross-functionally

Understanding of financial impact of plans and actions

Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive management
