Vivint is seeking a technical director to lead efforts to design and deliver home security cameras, innovate and enhance the customer's camera experience, and drive down service costs. The technical director will be focused on using data analytics and customer feedback to identify and improve the full camera experience for our customers. What we're looking for
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or related field) plus 10+ years of work experience.
Excellent architectural, C++/C/Rust programming, and Embedded system (ARM) design and development skills.
Experience with UDP, TCP/IP and knowledgeable of other common standard IP protocols, including capturing and analyzing packets from various network protocols.
Experience with video streaming protocols RTP/RTSP, WebRTC and MPEG-TS Experience with video proxies, P2P protocols and video frameworks
Experience with image sensor pipelines and Company Understanding video codecs such as H.264 and H.265 as well as audio codecs such as G711 and Opus
. Experience with architecting and delivering a large-scale system involving multiple teams and external partners.
Experience releasing products to the consumer market with the demonstrated ability to make good product decisions based on time to market, risks, technology trade-offs, and costs.
Experience with teaching, guiding, motivating, and supporting team members. Experience with taking ambiguous requirements and turning them into an actionable plan.
Experience with championing architectural, tech debt, refactors, version upgrades that improve code quality.
