"I started working from Community Regional as a Lab Assistant while continuing my last 2 courses before I could apply for our CLS Intern program. I worked for several years as lab assistant, then moved up the latter to a Lab Technician in Chemistry department right before getting accepted into the CLS program. Our CLS program is a full year where we are able to learn all aspects of the lab; chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, hematology, etc. I've been here now for 10 years and am enjoying my roles as a Clinical Lab Scientist. I feel like I can help people without being in-person on the bedside with patients. It's more of a behind the scenes job, but I feel like I'm contributing something positive to our patient care. It's such a rewarding job!"
