Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, this position is responsible for direction of patient care in the medical and surgical units. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assists in formulating budget. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.

Qualifications
  • Licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Utah or license eligible
  • BSN required
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Three years RN acute care supervisory experience
  • Five years of RN work experience in an acute care setting
